Mr. and Mrs. Twit are the most disgusting and smelly people in the world. They hate everything except playing mean tricks on each other, catching birds to make bird pies and forcing their caged monkeys, the Muggle -Wumps, to stand on their heads all day. The Muggle -Wumps don’t just want out, they want payback.

Roald Dahl writes books that appeal to both kids and adults by capturing the imagination and ensuring that the meanies get what's coming to them. Dahl also uses wicked humour and always includes revolting parts to amuse both young and old.

The first half of the book is about tricks Mrs. and Mr. Twit play on each other. For example, Mrs. Twit puts her glass eye in Mr. Twit's beer and he seeks revenge. I like this part because I wish I could get away with doing something like this. In the second half, the Muggle-Wumps make the Twits pay for their cruelty with an ingenious plan. Roald Dahl did a great job making me hate the Twits and root for the monkeys.

Roald Dahl inspires our imaginations as readers. This is a short book with only 29 short chapters and this helps struggling readers as the novel is not overwhelming. The illustrations are really amazing. Quention Blake's humorous drawing style complements Roald Dahl's writing style. These pictures also help with struggling readers by giving them a visual image of what's happening.

I rated this book a 10 out of 10 because it is not only descriptive, and funny, it's also a quick read. I read this in less than a day. I would recommend this book to any age; it is a classic worth reading again and again.
